Louisiana Law Firm Adopts DirectLaw Virtual Law Office Platform and Offers Wills and Trusts On-Line.
For Release: October 28, 2008

DirectLaw, Inc. is pleased to announce the adoption of its virtual law office platform by Myrna Arroyo, a solo practitioner based in Baton Rouge. The DirectLaw virtual law office platform powers the http://www.louisianawillforms.com/ web site. This law firm is Louisiana's first virtual law firm offering wills, living trusts, and other asset protection documents online throughout the State of Louisiana.  All documents are purchased based on a fixed price and include legal advice. Users of the site must be residents of the State of Louisiana and become online clients of the law firm.

Unlike other legal form web sites on the Internet, this is a true law firm web site bundling legal advice with legal forms. When a consumer purchases legal forms from a non-lawyer legal forms site they do not receive legal advice. Because of the complexity of Louisiana wills and estates law, which is different from every  other jurisdiction in the United States, a mistake can lead to disastrous consequences for the heirs of an estate.

Attorney Arroyo earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1989 and graduated cum laude with a joint MBA/JD degree from Tulane University in 1995. She is licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Connecticut, and was elected to the Louisiana State Bar House of delegates for the 23rd Judicial District in 2005. After several years as an associate with well-respected law firms in Connecticut and Louisiana, Myrna started her own practice in 2002 and now focuses exclusively on estate planning, business planning, asset protection, and tax planning.

Ms. Arroyo has been active in a wide range of professional and community organizations, including the Donaldsonville Tourism Commission, the Small Business Council of the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association, the Education and Risk Management Committees of the Greater Baton Rouge Board of Realtors, and has been a speaker on title insurance for Lorman Education Services. She is currently the President of the Baton Rouge Chapter of Business and Professional Women/USA. She is also a member of the Red Stick Chapter of Business Network International (BNI).
